Single-photon image of fixed cells

This week's image gives a beautiful insight into cellular structures made with our single-photon setup: 100x, 1.4 NA, JFOV 135 µm - 432 nm (blue), 515 nm (green) and 595 nm (red).

You can see the DAPI stained cell nucleus (blue), the Alexa Fluor 488 stained microtubuli (green) and the Lifeact-RFP stained actin filaments (red).

Mouse fibroblasts stable expressing Lifeact-RFP (ibidi - cells in focus) were kindly provided by Prof. Christof Hauck and Timo Baade (Universität Konstanz). For ICC staining the cells were grown in ibidibi channel slides, FA-fixed and stained with alpha-tubulin/AF488 and DAPI.
