📝 Ingredients:
500g potatoes
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
250ml oil for frying
🍳 Recipe Steps:
Hello friends! Today we’re making one of the crispiest and easiest breakfast sides — pan-fried hash browns — using just a few pantry staples!
✅ Prep the Potatoes:
Wash thoroughly and boil the unpeeled potatoes over low heat for about 15 minutes. Remove from water and let cool for 10–15 minutes.
✅ Peel and Grate:
Peel the potatoes and remove any dark spots. Then grate them into a bowl.
✅ Mix the Hash Brown Base:
Add cornstarch, melted butter, oil, and all seasonings. Mix until well combined.
✅ Shape the Patties:
Divide the mixture into 8 portions. With oiled hands, shape into patties and place on parchment-lined tray. Freeze for 1 hour to set.
✅ Fry to Perfection:
Heat oil in a pan. Fry each patty 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Place on a paper towel to drain.
✅ Serve and Enjoy!
Crispy, buttery hash browns ready to serve with eggs, toast, or just as they are!
Enjoy 😀
