📝 Ingredients:

800g ground beef
400g ground pork
3 eggs
1 ½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
4 slices of white bread
100ml milk
2 tablespoons oil for frying
3 tablespoons butter
3-4 tablespoons flour
600-700ml beef stock
100ml heavy cream
Fresh parsley

🍳 Recipe Steps:

1️⃣ Make the Meatball Mix
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, pork, eggs, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg.
Grate the onion and garlic directly into the bowl.

2️⃣ Soak the Bread
Cut off bread crusts. Tear the slices into small pieces and soak in the milk.
Mash into a smooth paste and mix into the meat.

3️⃣ Shape the Meatballs
Form into small balls, rolling tightly for best texture.

4️⃣ Brown the Meatballs
Heat oil in a pan. Fry the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides.
Remove from the pan and set aside.

5️⃣ Start the Gravy
In the same pan, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute until lightly golden.

6️⃣ Build the Sauce
Slowly add the beef stock while stirring until smooth and slightly thickened.
Add salt and pepper to taste.

7️⃣ Finish with Cream & Simmer
Return the meatballs to the pan. Simmer for 6–7 minutes.
Add the cream and cook for another 5 minutes to bring everything together.

8️⃣ Serve & Enjoy
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Serve with mashed potatoes, green peas, and lingonberry jam for the full Swedish experience!
