Fire with mirrors - Always Ants
Join me in camp as I make my first serious attempt at fire with mirrors, in the Oregon forest in July 2023.
Certainly it's possible, as humans have known since the earliest days of producing shiny polished surfaces, and certainly it's not reliable enough to count on for survival purposes.
Given the specifics required, such as strong sunlight, proper sun angle, dry fuels for taking an ember or achieving flame, a mirror large enough and of sufficient quality, this method of survival firemaking should be learned but not dependee upon.
