This video will help you to release any trigger points in the sternocleidomastoids or SCM's. Trigger points in the SCM's can cause headaches, neck pain, TMJ pain and much, much more. Trigger points in the SCM can be caused by poor posture or whiplash. The SCM's run from behind the ears, down to the sternum and clavicle. Massage the muscles (one side at a time) looking for any tenderness. Rub in a circular motion over any tender spots for 30-60 seconds - then continue to scan the rest of the SCM's, then switch sides. Continue to breathe throughout the entire movement.
