HD Video on Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit (VirtualBox)
It's time to watch the fruit of our labor as a Kdenlive project is now viewed in all of its glory. This is really a demonstration of how far Linux's multimedia capabilities have progressed in a relatively short amount of time. What is also amazing is how far virtualization technology has come along where one could edit, render, and view HD video in a VM.
VirtualBox is virtualizing a x64 multimedia PC with two cores allocated to it. The host has a Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core processor in it. 6GB's of RAM is allocated to the VM. There is a VESA compatible display adapter installed with XFree86/Xorg running at 1920 by 1080 screen resolution. The system has a 45GB HD image connected with Kubuntu 9.04 AMD64 installed.
