This structure was built in Memphis' Crosstown area on the edge of Midtown in 1927 as a Sears store and regional catalog fulfillment center totaling 1.5 million square feet. It closed in 1993. A $200 million renovation started in 2015 and finished in 2017. The renovated Crosstown Concourse attracted 200 residents and 41 new tenants. Retail, restaurants, office spaces, a YMCA and apartments. There is even a Crosstown High School housed within the complex.

The building is 14-stories tall (188-ft) with 1 million square feet of modernized floorspace. Similar Sears regional fulfillment complexes from the same era have also been renovated in Boston, Dallas and Seattle.
