How to use the Vizrt 4 Connector plugin.
The Vizrt 4 Connect Geometry allows you to connect two objects together with a line. This connector line is created by connecting two containers from your scene tree. The Vizrt 4 Connector Geometry is found in the Built-Ins window, in the Geometry Plugins (GP) tab and the default folder.
When you first drag the Connector into the scene you will not see anything. In order for the connector to show in the scene editor window you will need two other containers in your scene tree. For example, drag a Cone and a Sphere into your scene tree. In total, you should have three containers. A connector, a Cone and a Sphere geometry. Move the Cone Geometry to the left side of the screen using the X axis transformation editor. Move the Sphere geometry to the right side of the screen using the X axis transformation editor.. Click on the Connector icon on the container to enter the Connector properties editor.
Within the Connector properties window you will see a blank box labeled Container 1. Drag the Cone container into this empty Container 1 box. Below that you’ll see an empty box labeled Container 2. Drag the Sphere geometry container into the empty Container 2 box within the Connector’s property window. Once you have two containers in their proper place you will now see a connecting line between the two containers.
Some of the settings within the Connector that you can adjust include:
Line Color which will allow you to choose the color of the connector line.
Line Width will set the width of the connecting line.
Border Thickness will apply a border determined by the numerical quantity entered.
Border Color will allow you to select a color for the border.
The video will explain further what the Connection Point By Axis is.
