How to use the Vizrt 4 Alpha Map geometry plugin.

The Vizrt 4 Alpha Map allows you to create an alpha map from a grayscale image. The light and dark intensity of the grayscale image translates to opacity value.

Once you drag the Vizrt 4 Alpha Map primitive into the scene tree you will not see anything in the scene editor window. Before going into the properties editor, navigate to your server window first. Drag an RGB image onto the Alpha Map container. Now click on the Alpha Map to go into the properties window. At the top of the editor, there is a blank box icon. This empty icon box is waiting for a grayscale image. Now drag a grayscale image with strong black and white values onto that empty box icon.

The grayscale image will translate into opacity value for the image on the container. It is now you can adjust the settings of the Alpha Map. Some of the settings include:
X Size, which sets the size of the map along the X axis.
Y-Size which sets the size of the map along the Y axis.
Texture X Offset which sets the offset of the texture on the X.
Texture Y Offset which sets the offset of the texture on the Y.
Texture X Width, allows you to increase or decrease the texture size on the X axis.
Texture Y Width, allows you to increase or decrease the texture size on the Y axis.
Inverse will mirror the coordinates
Texel Precision allows two choices: Texel, Subtexel. Uses subtexel for better image performance.
Texture Coordinates will clamp or repeat the texture: Repeat will draw the texture over and over again while Clamp will stretch to fit.
The alpha map will allow you to achieve different design looks by switching out the grayscale image in the Alpha Map properties window.
