How to use the Vizrt 4 Cube.
The Vizrt 4 Cube Geometry is a three dimensional cube that can be adjusted on each axis: height, width and depth. The cube is located with the other native geometry plugins in the Built-Ins window, the Geometry Plugins (GP) tab and the default folder.
When you first drag the Cube into the scene tree or scene editor window, it will look like a 2 dimensional rectangle. At this moment, there is no shading and the cube is directly in the center of the camera facing us. This is the reason it resembles a white rectangle. In order to see some shading and the three dimensions, you want to first drop a material onto the Cube container. Next, go into the transformation editor by clicking on the transformation axis editor and rotate the cube on the X, Y and Z parameter. You should now see all three dimensions of the cube. If you click on the Cube icon in the container it will take you into the Cube’s editor.
Within the Cube’s properties window, there are several parameters that you can adjust to change the look of the cube. Some of the settings inside the cube include:
Use LOD which enables or disables the dynamic level of detail.
Size X will set the size of the cube on the X axis, thus increasing or decreasing the width.
Size Y will set the size of the cube on the Y axis, thus increasing or decreasing the height.
Size Z will set the size of the cube on the Z axis, thus increasing or decreasing the depth.
Center Y will set the position of the center axis on the Y. The options are Bottom, Center, Top.
Tesselation will set the detail level.
Adaptive Tesselation allows you to adjust the tesselation on each axis.
Bevel will add a bevel to the sides. You can set the bevel amount by the entering a numerical value.
Rounded Bevel will enable or disable the roundness of the bevel.
Show Top will enable or disable the top of the cube.
Show Bottom will enable or disable the bottom of the cube.
Show Front will enable or disable the front of the cube.
Show Back will enable or disable the back of the cube.
Show Right will enable or disable the right side of the cube.
Show Left will enable or disable the left side of the cube.
