UAE Embassy Establishes a Study Abroad Scholarship at Iowa State University
The UAE Embassy has endowed Iowa State University (ISU) with the funds to establish a study abroad scholarship in memoriam for Maktoum Al Seiari, a 2019 ISU graduate who tragically passed in a car accident in 2020. Maktoum was passionate about enhancing cultural understanding across nations. This scholarship gives students the opportunity to embrace these ideals as they visit and experience the UAE. Speaking on the scholarship, Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba stated, “This scholarship will preserve and strengthen bridges built by Maktoum and continue to bring people … closer together.”
