Yousef Al Otaiba Opens Virtual Ramadan Celebration
In 2020, Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba had the opportunity to open a virtual Ramadan event with a welcome message. Although the virtual event was much different from a typical Ramadan, the spirit of the holiday and gathering remained at the center of the celebrations. In his message, His Excellency discussed the importance of keeping community during uncertainty.
Aside from remarks by the Ambassador and other UAE leaders, the gathering also highlighted statements from Muslim, Jewish, Christian and Sikh leaders. The goal was to reinforce the UAE’s principle of religious tolerance and inclusion and to focus on humanity amid the pandemic.
