Congo DR had high hopes of making it to Russia 2018. They should win this game but they will only qualify if Libya cause a massive upset and win in Tunisia in the other fixture so it’s still likely to be a disappointing night for fans in Kinshasa.
It’s a game that has the potential to produce goals at both ends. Guinea are a pretty useful outfit on their day and have scored 3 or more goals in 5 of their last 8 internationals. They’ve only failed to score in 1 of their last 12 matches so although they are huge underdogs here, they’ve every reason to believe there is a goal in this match for them.
However at the other end they are easily broken down. A 4-1 hammering at home to Tunisia last time out was their latest setback and they’ve conceded 2.2 goals per game on average in this group. That will offer plenty of encouragement to DR Congo who are blessed with some genuine firepower. They’ve only failed to score in 1 of their last 12 matches and will be keen to take command of the game early to at least put some pressure on Tunisia, whose game will take place at the same time.
