This can be a source of stress for new trainers and is also a pivotal piece of the “sales” process 👉🏼 which really comes down to coaching and helping people take action.
Don’t overcomplicate it - if you’re trying to accomplish TOO MUCH in that first meeting together it can end up feeling unorganized, rushed, and kill rapport instead of building it, so just focus on what you need to do in order to:
👉🏼 Get to know them and what they’re looking for
👉🏼 Build trust in you as the person that can get them there
👉🏼 See them move a little and let them experience what it’s like to train/coach with you.
👉🏼 Make it something fun/engaging they are pumped about coming back to.
👉🏼 Get commitment to get them started
Do you have to do?
✅ Assessments
✅ Measurements
✅ Performance tests
✅ etc….
Only if you are convinced it will help serve the items above and move them towards action - otherwise it can wait.
Don’t put any more barriers in the way of them taking action than they already have.
