Strong vocals force songs to rise, to stay alive, to dominate.
Heart-striking lyrics cause addiction and memorization.
It's like a drug, only it isn't bad for you.

This is J-Music. Let divine vocals and scenic lyrics battle it out for the Throne.

Three rose. Two stood still. Ten debuted.

Needless to say by now, Tomo is an rare breed. Song after song, the unique, unprecedented compilation of words continue to impress me in ways no other artist ever could. The beauty of it all is just too much to soak in, and by the time I realize it, I've already played the song countless times. All of the above statements describe "Period" - an self-directed masterpiece.

While not quite at vistlip's level yet, DISACODE is starting to emerge as one of few surprise artists of the year. This band has been around since 2007 but went through member changes during the first three years, and didn't "officially" release anything until 2010. Following up from their first single "ARCO IRIS", this next gem is just as good, if not better. Publicity appears to be on the rise, and I really look forward to hearing what more they have to offer down the line.

I've been seeing people talk trash about lynch.'s new album and I honestly don't understand what there is not to like about it. The overall music style hasn't changed much, if at all, from their previous release. Granted I wouldn't consider it something I'd listen to for years to come, it is on par with my expectations.

As for Honey L Days, I like the song, but not nearly as much as I did the previous single. The last single was absolute gold, and I still listen to it an average three to four times a week. That single was a theme for a drama. This single is the theme for a movie. Both hold very high commercial value, yet for whatever reason, the amount of promotion this new single is receiving compared to the previous is unreal. I like both, but I really, really wish they'd promoted the last single in similar fashion.

Moving on to Previews, we have what I consider to be another surprise: Arlequin. The band debuted towards the end of last year and released their first single back in January. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed with that single, but with "Stella" we have a different story on our hands. I truly love the way the hook sounds - it reminds me of another Visual Kei song from way back when that I can't quite remember. It was a bit nostalgic, and I'm hooked.

Blu-BiLLioN and SCANDAL both appear successful in maintaining their overall style. That isn't quite the case with SCREW. I can't exactly say I love or hate this new release, but their music style just seems to be all over the place lately. "FUGLY" sounds nothing like "CAVALCADE", nor does it sound like "XANADU". At this point, I don't know what to expect from SCREW going forward.

Lastly, I just want to say that psychotic gore is always appreciated in my book. Say hello to NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST ladies and gentlemen. Continuing on and potentially succeeding their previous single on multiple dimensions, "DESPERATE" is breathtakingly fresh, and it makes you forget about everything else you have to deal with in life. So beautiful...
