An plethora of fascinating music content came out over the past two months.
ALSDEAD's "STARLESS" is one of them. The song enchants the feeling of despair, which just about anyone will experience at one point or another, If you relive the era without lighting or fire, the only source of light at night was the moon and the stars. Just imagine the hopelessness and loneliness that will surely devour your heart once those stars are lost. Overall, ALSDEAD proves, once again, to rank among the elites in both inspirational, deep lyrics, and vocals.
The only question remaining is: will it take the Throne? Watch this countdown to find out.
The competition includes "Tokohana" by Nagi Yanagi. I was quite impressed with LiSA, but this song ranks very high among Anime Songs released this year. Ever since the beginning, I knew her voice was something special. This is probably the first song to fully summon that elite voice - it's amazing. The PV is also good - unavailable on YouTube due to strict copyright restrictions but certainly recommended if you can find it elsewhere.
Let's put everything else aside for now and get in to the Previews.
First and foremost - the new Royz gem is awesome. Even though I can't stand seeing Subaru's (Vocals) latest hair style, which resembles that of the infamously overrated non-Artist singer from Canada, the song itself ranks among the best ever released by Royz. The energy flowing through from start to finish is simply fantastic.
The same could be said for LOST ASH. Ever since setting the bar sky high with "overHORIZON", I just haven't been able to truly enjoy the recent releases. While it still isn't enough to go over that bar, "MESSAGE" is the first LOST ASH song I've listened to on repeat in well over two years.
On the contrary, we have the new v[NEU] release. Popularity seems to be growing, but the overall style in "Hitori Janai" is not even close to what I liked about this band. The glory days of "LiMiT" feels like a distant memory that never actually existed. I hope this trend changes, and fast.
Silhouette from the Skylit continues to amaze me. The previous release, which Debuted at no.2 on the first countdown of 2014, excelled in the instrumentals. This new gem goes above and beyond in terms of vocals collaboration.
And lastly, we have ALDEBARAN, lead by ex-Lolita23q vocalist Soshi. As far as I'm aware, Lolita23q has yet to officially disband so the title of "ex" may not be appropriate, but after seeing the disappoint return of ex-& vocalist Ikuma, I don't have high hopes for this new unit. "Kotoba" is slightly above average at best in my opinion, but that distorted view is largely due to the high standards I had for Lolita23q.
