Another fifteen minutes, and thirty more songs become a part of history. A countdown that started off bizarre now continues to a mirage of nightmare.

Twelve of the songs eliminated in this video ranked no.1 at least once during the 40 Chapitels of 2012. Nine others peaked in the Top 3. In the Final 20 coming up afterwards, fourteen of the twenty songs reached the Throne at some point, while the other six all peaked within the Top 5.

Yes, I know "Wasurenagusa" was released a long time ago - the one we're referencing in the countdown is the NEW Arrange Ver. featured in "Sou ~Twinkle Vitality~" (released February 2012). The main track is supposed to be that other song that is Track 1 (which is still very good), but I absolutely love the lyrics in "Wasurenagusa". The instrumentals on both tracks are simply exquisite.

It became yet another bizarre scene for SuG fans - and I do apologize. Let me assure you that the epic failure that was "SweeToxic" had nothing to do with it. "Fukanzen Beautyfool Days" was a great song, while "Howling Magic" and the entire "Lollipop Kingdom" album became an afterthought after listening to it for about a month or two.

"Spending all my time" has to be the best Perfume release in almost two years - if not longer. ZORO's "HOWL" was absolutely sick. The play count on my iPod is well over 200, as I've walked through Metro stations around Tokyo with that tune flowing to my ears. The release date on LIGHT BRINGER is borderline, but it was an outstanding song that was left out from the Final 2011 Countdown due to not enough people (myself included) having heard it thoroughly to judge. & remains in a class of its own with "Muyu no Kago" (you know it's going to be there in The Final 20 so no reason to bother hiding the fact), but up until it was released, "Liberate" was one of the best ever released from &. A lot of people seemed to prefer ν [neu]'s "Restless" album over "KALEIDOSCOPE", and it's understandable, but (in my opinion) the messages conveyed in the lyrics are much stronger and deep in this single. As for Satsuki, "ROMANCE" was marvelous: great lyrics, great instrumentals, great PV. I can't get over how badly it sucks to know 9GOATS BLACK OUT will be a thing of the past come February 2013. I mean come on, "Karte" features two elite masterpieces in "any" and "nude". Lastly DEATHGAZE: while songs released over the past two years have been quite good, it felt like something was lacking. The entire "Creature" album, combined with "DEAD BLAZE" (not qualified for this countdown due to release date restrictions) ruled in every way imaginable. This is what I've been waiting to hear from DEATHGAZE - just amazing.

I apologize for the long paragraph. The lack of organization is subject to criticism by grammar nazis all around but I really despise having a break between each Artist's topic, you understand.

The Final 20 will likely be released during the first week of January. I'd love it if I could get it all done by December 31st but I must prioritize RL activities and will not have enough time to get that done. It will be released before January 8 for sure. Thank you for your understanding!
