LMN J Music Top 30 Countdown 2014.05.01

As mentioned earlier, Arlequin turned out to be quite a surprise. What really stands out about "Stella" is the lyrics. The lyrics are amazing. But keep in mind that having great lyrics is, more or less, a standard on this chart. Look across the board and you have the works of Alice Nine, vistlip, MinstreliX, KAMIJO, Jupiter, xTRiPx, and multiple others with outstanding lyrics. We shall see how "Stella" does over time.
There were eight other Debuts on the week, but none that I really wish to talk in excessive detail other than Shinsei Kamattechan. What I've learned over the years is that most people aren't open to discovering or crediting new music. Women, in particular, tend to be hard on female vocalists - especially those obsessed with the appearance portion of Visual Kei as opposed to the actual music. Those will likely be the ones who will talk trash about "Front Memory" being on the countdown. If so, then what I ask of you is to just close your eyes and hear the song for what it is. Give it a chance, just this once. Perhaps only then will we see eye-to-eye. This song is unique, and I love the positive energy flowing from it.
And I will say the same thing about the Opening Theme. RONDONRATS is somewhat known despite its minor status, and for good reason: quality music. "Nounai Mechanism" happens to be the first song I heard from this band, and I instantly fell in love with it. I haven't seen the official lyrics since that hook at the intro was the only part of it I could find online, but based on what I'm hearing, it's totally awesome. As with Shinsei Kamattechan, I love the way the song sounds. Positive energy is all around, and it's like adrenaline flowing through your veins.
The bottom line is, this countdown is a battle ground. And the fight will only get tougher next time.
As you can see, we have the likes of Sadie, FEST VAINQUEUR, DaizyStripper, MEGAMASSO, and R-Shitei coming up. Although they aren't in the previews, exist trace, DIV, LiSA, Kiryuu, and Awoi are also potential Debuts for the next Countdown. There's far too much to talk about, so I will save it all until then.
