MIH – JAUNE'S SWORDd ‘CROCEA MORS’ – DIY REPLICA
In this tutorial I show you how I constructed Jaune Arcs original sword, ‘Crocea Mors’, from Monty Oum’s / Rooster Teeth’s series RWBY. The shield isn’t apart of the build, because it is only painted newspaper covering an old shield to be used for the cosplay photos.
Materials used:
Tas Oak (65x19mm), MDF (9 & 3mm), PVC plastic, Contact cement, PVA wood glue, Automotive body filler, multipurpose gap filler (Acrylic putty), Spray paints (grey primmer, aluminium, black, gold & clear), black acrylic paint, etc.
Tools used:
Saws (circular, jig, copping & hand), stationary (pens, pencils, rulers, etc.), clamps & weights, masking tape, Stanley knives, etc.
Dimensions:
Total length = 0.94m, Blade =71x5cm, cross guard = 14x3x2.5cm, handle = 19x3.5x2cm, pommel = 3.6x1.3x2.3cm.
Again, sorry to my subscribes for this not being uploaded sooner, certain things have been slowing me down and plus I almost lost all of the footage for this. Unfortunately, I have begun new work which will eat into my weekends a bit, so my next tutorial might be delayed again, but I’ll do my best.
