MIH – RWBY GAMBOL SHROUD 2.0 – DIY REPLICA
In this video I will be showing how I took MDF and built my second Gambol Shroud, Blake belladonna’s weapon from Rooster Teeth’s ‘RWBY’, in 4 weeks. I had to take multiple shopping trips for my materials, did not keep all of my receipts so I do not know how much it cost me. It is definitely over $70. I also bought $30 ticket to have it signed by Arryn Zech, Blake’s voice actor, at Supanova 2018 and with the 4 weeks of spending all of my free time on this build, the resulting value of this piece well above $100 (I personally value it at $300).

Materials used:
MDF (16, 9 and 3mm), 200mm PVC coupling (Barrel), PVA wood glue, automotive body filler, multipurpose gap filler (acrylic gap filler), super glue, prey spray primer, grey steal spray, flat black spray, aluminium spray, clear gloss spray, acrylic paint (black, Chinese white and silver), sticky back 3mm EVA foam, etc.
Tools used:
Circular saw, jig saw, rotary tool (sanding drum, spiral saw and a tiny engraving bit), drill (25mm spade bit), brushes, paddles/plastic knives, Stanley knives, calculators, paper, pen, rules, etc.
