MIH – DIVINE AXE RHITTA – PART ONE – DIY
In this tutorial, I will be constructing Pride Sin Escanor’s sacred treasure, the Divine Axe Rhitta. This is the biggest build challenge I’ve done to date. I had to design it as light weight as possible, be structurally strong (don’t want another prop not to last the years), keep materials cost low, have the axe head and handle detach but strong, and maybe be convention safe (Weapons check decision), etc. Now because I’m using build methods that I don’t use regularly, and materials having a long cure time, its been really time consuming, and with the Fibre glass fail (my first time) it’s gotten to the point that that I’m losing motivation to finish at a sooner date. So that is why this had been split up into a 2-part build and take a break from the axe, that way i don't do a crappy finish.

Materials used:
4mm Plywood, 20x20mm pine, Liquid nails, contact adhesive, PVC Piping, metal saddle brackets, screws, expanding foam, adhesive expanding foam, Styrofoam, PVA wood glue, spray adhesive, aluminium foil, fibre glass mat, fibre glass resin, etc.
Tools used:
Marking and measuring tools, jigsaw, hand drill, rotary tool, coping saw, Stanley knives, files & rasps, sand paper, orbital sander, etc.
