[5 weeks Later]

"How long are you here for?" I ask as I sit opposite Joe at the cafe
"4 weeks" He says. I nod
"I wanted to be here for the scan in 3 weeks. It will give us time to get to each other better. I-"
"Joe im not asking you for anything. I didnt ask you to come here"
"No but I want to be here Demi. I want to get to know you better. I want to be in my kids life"
"There's one question you never asked me" I say
"What?"
"You never asked if the baby's yours"
"I assumed" He admits
"Assumed you were the only guy I slept with? Cause your wrong"
"No I assumed cause Selena told me you were pregnant"
"So? It doesnt mean its yours"
"Is it?"
"Yes"
"So what does it matter?" He asks
"It matters to me" I admit "Joe you havent even called me since Miami and now your here and I dont want you here"
"bu-"
"Your here for the baby and thats it. Im happy about that but I dont want you here"
"I'll leave then" He says standing up "I wasnt here for the baby Demi. I was here for you"
"You said-"
"I lied. A baby would ruin my life. Im only 23, i dont want kids until im married and thats not happening soon" He says then leaves. I wipe a tear as it falls. Maybe I made him do that but it got the truth out of him, all I wanted was for him to say he wanted the baby
[3 Weeks Later]
"Its a girl" I tell my parents and Selena's parents. Our parents are always together
"Have you told Joe?" Selena asks
"I told you 3 weeks ago what he said Selena, he wants nothing to do with the baby so no i havent told him"
"It seems wrong to-"
"Selena you dont know anything about it" I interrupt her "If you care about him so much why dont you just date him"
"I already am" She mumbles but I heard it
"Your dating him?"
"Yeah" She nods
"What happened between us that you would do that to me?" I ask her
"Hawaii happened" She says before leaving
"What happened in Hawaii?" Our parents ask in unison. I look at them and I sigh
"Me and Selena..we made a pact you could say. We promised each other we could make you guys see you could trust us. We felt like you treated us like kids and we hated you for that. Me and Selena- well we kissed, we'd done it before the two of us and then at the party in the hotel Selena hooked up with a guy so I left, I felt betrayed by her night. I just wanted to be with my best friend she left. Later that night I went to the beach and I met Joe. I spent the rest of the holiday with him" I tell him
"I dont know why she's so mad" Selena's mom says "She asked us if we could leave early"
"What?"
"Selena came to us the night before and practically begged us to leave that morning"
