"Myah" Demi says as she gets home, Myah waiting at the door
"Let me in" Myah says to Demi, she hated Demi right now, her mom lied to her her whole life. Demi sighs and unlocks the door, Myah runs up the stairs, Demi follows and tears up as she watches Myah pack her bag
"Myah" Demi says "Just let me explain"
"I dont want to hear it mom. Im leaving"
"I dont think so Myah, your 7! Your not leaving this house"
"Then you'll take me. I want to live with Gran"
"Myah please"
"Give me a break. I dont want to be around you" Myah yells at Demi and Demi gives in. She always gave in to Myah and her mom hated that about their relationship. Demi gave Myah what she wanted all the time.
"Fine. Get in the car" Demi says. Myah runs down the stairs with her bag and gets in the car. Demi gets in makes sure Myah is buckled in an drives to her mom's house.
When Diane got Myah to agree to talk with Demi she just looked at Demi in disgust
"Dont look at me like that Myah, no matter what im still your mom. Nothing changes that"
"Just say what you want to say" Myah says
"Look, Joe and I dated in school and he was different than the others but he cheated, its not something you'll understand until your older but he broke my heart and that was hard enough to get over. I wanted to tell him but he got another girl pregnant. Jake's mom and I know she's not in the picture anymore, I know she left without a word but its not the point Myah. I love you and thats all that matters. Your dad hurt me and I wanted to recover from the pain before I told him. I never did tell him because I never recovered from it. It still hurts now"
"Do you love him?" Myah asks Demi
"I do" Demi smiles a little bit "He was everything to me and I do love him, I always will but Myah that doesnt matter"
"Yes it does. Mom I love you but you need to let the past go"
"Just like your dad" Demi smiles and Myah hugs her
"I love you" Demi tells Joe. It was the next morning and Joe, Myah, Jake and Demi had been together since 6AM. It was late morning now and Myah and Jake were watching Demi and Joe, both happy now finally having a real family "I always have but you hurt me and I couldnt get over that"
"I never got over you Demi, I love you and Im sorry for what I did"
"Im not" Demi admits smiling at Joe. "Look at us, were stronger now and we have Jake and Myah. Im glad you cheated in a weird way because we wouldnt be here right now if you didnt. Nothing is ever perfect Joe but this moment, I couldnt be happier"
"I love you so much" Joe says as he leans down kissing Demi.
"EW!" Jake and Myah squeal and turn away. Demi and Joe laugh as they pull away.
No matter what happens in the past eventually you have to let it go just to be happy.
