"Ava are you ready?" I ask her as i slip my heels on
"Yup. Where's Daddy?" She asks.
"He'll be home in a minute" I tell her as i walk into her room to see her in a little summer dress and some pink sandals. She called Joe Daddy. She's almost 4 now. Me and Joe have been together for 3 years and today im finally meeting his parents. I'd already met his sister and she's so nice but im more worried about his parents. Not all rich people are mean but i always find rich parents are the worst people to please. Joe proposed last year on our 2nd year anniversary. He wants a child of his own, yes Ava calls him daddy and he think of her as his own but for him i dont think its the same.. I told him he can wait until after were married but he doesnt know that im actually pregnant. Selena knows and im hoping she hasnt said anything. Im 8 weeks pregnant, Selena went to the doctor with me last week. I hear a car pull up outside and before i can say anything to Ava she's down the stairs and out the door. I walk down the stairs and i lock the door before walking over to the car. Joe puts his arms around me and kisses me "Lets go" i say as i pull away
"Have you told him yet?" Selena asks as i walk into the house. Joe's gone to find him parents.
"No"
"De-"
"Mom Dad this is Demi" Joe says walking back to us. I feel Ava take my hand,
"Its nice to meet you" They both say together
"You too" I say "And this is my daughter Ava"
"Lets have dinner" Mrs Jonas says before walking off .. i assume to the kitchen. Ava goes with Selena and Mr Jonas follows them
"Get ready" Joe whispers as we walk behind them
"What for?"
"The interrigation. They will want to know everything" He says before we reach the kitchen. We sit down and as we begin to at, the questions start
"How did you meet?" Mrs Jonas asks
"In a cafe. Joe almost fell over Ava's stroller." I tell her
"Parents?" She asks
"Rich. Kicked me out when i fell pregnant"
"Job?"
"I work in book store"
"So your poor?" She looks at me in disgust
"Mom!" Joe says raising his voice. I knew it'd come to this
"Yes actually i am. I may have been brought up in your world but im glad my parents dont want me in their family anymore, i never really felt like family. I always felt like i didnt belong but ive found someone who i love and i dont care if you split us up. I will always love Joe" I tell her
"And i love Demi" Joe says before taking my hand "And were getting married"
"And having a baby" I say
"What?" Joe asks
"Ive been meaning to tell you."
"This is amazing" He says "Lets leave"
Over the months Joe became more and more protective and Ava was enjoying school but she was so interested in the fact she was going to have a brother or sister. Joe's parents havent come around to the idea of us yet but they'll still be invited to the wedding. Ava and the baby will always know that it doesnt matter who you are you cant help you fall in love with. Its never too late
