A good wayfarer has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving
~ Lao Tzu
We have all heard stories of wandering Dervishes and Qalandars traveling from place to place on some mysterious errand known only to themselves, their teacher and God. What is less well known is that these travels are a form of prayer. Not a prayer of supplication, but rather an invocation of transformation.
We understand the Prayer of the Wayfarer to be the intentional organization of energy in the form of thought, vision, sound, emotion, and movement for the purpose of connecting with Reality.
This evening we will cover the art of Wayfaring and how to form this special kind of prayer for our development and in service to reality.
So lets take an hour or so the explore this fascinating topic.
