Morning Pages: Day 12
Day 12 of Morning Pages. A few weeks back, when I first read about the morning pages, I thought, this is it...this is the tool that grants me access to infinite creativity. I wondered why none of my writing teachers had ever talked about the morning pages. Were they keeping them a secret? Did they not see the benefit of doing them? Maybe they didn't know about them? Looking back, even if they did talk about them, I don't think I would have done them. I had to go through a lot of different experiences to see and understand the value in writing three pages every morning. A lot of things changed for me in 2022 when I partook in a series of plant medicine ceremonies that opened me up as a human and connected me to what appears to be an infinite energy source of unimaginable power, intelligence, and creativity. As humans, a lot of stuff sticks to us. We live in a world that bombards us with information that latches on to us and makes us forget who we truly are. For me, the morning pages allow me to burn off all the nonsense so I can reconnect to myself as well as the greater energy source. Pretty cool.

I'm doing these for 30 days, hopefully longer. As soon as I wake up, I write whatever comes to mind. I don't care about grammar; I don't care about subject matter; I don't care about anything but writing. It takes about 20-25 minutes. If you like, feel free to join in on the fun!
