Day 26 of Morning Pages. Today was my first day using a "college ruled" notebook, and it was no joke. It added an extra 7-8 minutes to my overall writing time compared to "wide ruled." I don't know how I feel about this. I probably shouldn't feel any way about it and, instead, embrace it as my new normal. I think I got a little too comfortable with "wide ruled" so now "college ruled" feels off. A part of me doesn't want to write those extra 7-8 minutes, but another part is up for the challenge. I used to go back and forth on stuff like this. I would spend way too much time dwelling on things that didn't matter. It put me in an indecisive headspace, which isn't fun for anybody. Now, I catch myself when I enter into these indecisive states and do what I can to not get locked in. Rather than fight it, I accept it! YES, I accept it! My "wide" days are over; it's time to enter "college."

Morning Pages are “three pages of longhand writing, strictly stream-of-consciousness.” Julia Cameron is the creator of the Morning Pages. She writes about them in her book THE ARTIST’S WAY.

I'm doing these for 30 days, hopefully longer. As soon as I wake up, I write whatever comes to mind. I don't care about grammar; I don't care about subject matter; I don't care about anything but writing. It takes about 20-25 minutes. If you like, feel free to join in on the fun!
Also, if you do the Morning Pages, post how it's going in the comments. I am genuinely interested and will read and respond to all comments. That is all.
