Day 17 of Morning Pages. As the days pass, the writing becomes easier. There is little to no fear or anxiety to write. I wake up, sit down, and go. There is not much thinking involved, as far as what I am writing about goes. I don't have to enter with an idea; I don't have to prove anything to myself; I don't have to do much of anything aside from show up and write. Yes, the writing may be all garbage, but I don't care. It feels so great to not care! Bad writing or good writing doesn't matter much to me anymore. All that matters is that I am writing. The "mind" can re-enter during the rewriting phase, but during the writing phase, it's all heart. No minds allowed.

Morning Pages are “three pages of longhand writing, strictly stream-of-consciousness.” Julia Cameron is the creator of the Morning Pages. She writes about them in her book THE ARTIST’S WAY.

I'm doing these for 30 days, hopefully longer. As soon as I wake up, I write whatever comes to mind. I don't care about grammar; I don't care about subject matter; I don't care about anything but writing. It takes about 20-25 minutes. If you like, feel free to join in on the fun!

Also, if you do the Morning Pages, post how it's going in the comments. I am genuinely interested and will read and respond to all comments. That is all.
